Trabucco Ranch Paint Out

Trabucco Ranch painted on-site by Penny OtwellThe first paint out was held on November 14, 2009. With clear skies and brisk weather, over 45 attendees helped celebrate Sierra Foothill Conservancy's 13th completed conservation easement -- the Trabucco Ranch conservation easement in Mariposa County -- and were invited to watch artists paint en plein air.

Eight artists from the local and visiting invitational groups were located within walking distance. Attendees watched paintings, such as the one shown above by Penny Otwell, emerge from a blank canvas. Delectable hors d'oeurvres and beverages complemented a beautiful afternoon in the foothills, mixing art, friendly folks, and autumn colors under a setting sun.

Plan to come out to the McKenzie Preserve on March 13 or March 14, 2010 for our upcoming paint out events.
