Area Watershed Coalition is composed of participants that represent
land owners and others that have an interest in the protection and
sustainable use of our natural resources in the foothill region of the
drainage. The Coalition
has been in existence since 1998.
Organizations that have partnered include the Coarsegold and
Sierra Resource Conservation Districts, Highway 168 FireSafe Council,
Sierra-San Joaquin Weed Management Alliance, Sierra Foothill
Conservancy, and the Central Sierra Watershed Committee in a technical
advisory role (TAC).

has as an objective to restore ecological health and improve water
management by working with the community at a watershed level.
