Trabucco Ranch Celebration
and Plein Air Paint-Out

Saturday, November 14th, 2pm-6pm

This is a Free Event!

SFC will launch our first Plein Air painting project at the celebration of our 13th conservation easement in Mariposa. Observe artists at work on the property, including a painting demonstration by Adam Longatti. Learn about the art and conservation projects and join us for a glass of wine and hors d'oeuvres over a sierra foothill sunset. Are you a patron of the arts, or interested in learning about volunteer opportunities? Visit the new and improved Plein Air website at www.sierrafoothill.org/pleinair.

To RSVP for the Paint-Out contact christopher.watts@sierrafoothill.org or call 209.742.5556.

Then join us for a delicious barbeque at our picnic area by the creek, after which SFC staff and board members will tell you about our latest achievements and new programs.

“Sierra Stars” Quilt Raffle

This beautiful quilt was made and donated by Ann Dellavalle for this year’s quilt raffle.

You may see the quilt “in person” and buy raffle tickets at many SFC events throughout the year, beginning with the member BarBQ.

August 2009:

Sierra Foothills en Plein Air!

We're excited to announce plans for a plein air art event that will bring together local and nationally known artists to paint the foothill lands under SFC's protection. The artwork produced from the open air painting sessions will culminate in two invitational exhibitions in 2010 with partial proceeds benefiting SFC.

We hope to cultivate an increased awareness of the Sierra Foothills' beauty and value through the work of plein air artists. Join us! Are you a painter? A collector? Would you like to observe artists at work? Would you like to help?

Return to this page for updates as this exciting event takes shape or contact Bridget Fithian at bridget.fithian@sierrafoothill.org.
